Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
Nine people were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to water systems, as stated by local authorities.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.
Russian forces has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.
"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and applying penalties," mentioned in a social media post.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.
Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.
A series of attacks struck power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.
Multiple people injured in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.
Local officials said the urban area came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor was killed and several individuals were wounded.
The attacks follow evenings of air raids in the region, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.
The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.
National leaders told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.
He said energy workers and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
